About Denver Heat Pump Cost

Who runs this site, where the prices come from and who does the work.

Denver Heat Pump Cost shows what heat pumps typically cost to install in the Denver area, so you know what to expect before you get quotes.

How requests work

When you send photos or schedule an estimate, the request goes to the Denver heating and cooling contractor that does our estimates and installs. The photos on this site are from their installs.

Where the prices come from

The ranges come from our recent heat pump estimates in the Denver area, priced before rebates. Each range covers the middle of those prices, leaving out the cheapest and most expensive quarter. The ranges for a heat pump with a new gas furnace and for a ducted heat pump follow our current pricing instead. Out-of-pocket figures are what most Xcel gas customers in the Denver metro have paid since October 1, 2026, after every rebate. Income-qualified jobs are left out, small groups are not shown, and figures are rounded to the nearest $100.

A range is not a quote for your house. Your price depends on the equipment, the line route, the panel and the ducts, and we price those from photos or a visit.

Rebates

Rebates change, sometimes mid-year. Xcel Energy changed its heat pump rebates on October 1, 2026. See the current rebate amounts.
